The Juntura School District is looking to hire an experienced teacher to teach students at a K-8th Grade School.

This is a unique and rare opportunity at multi-grade teaching. Although it has unique challenges, it provides an opportunity to have a sustained impact on a students whole education. We are looking for someone who wants to have that impact.

Starting Salary at $53,000-61,000
Insurance Benefits $1500 per month for the 24-25 school year.
4-day school week
This position will work with one other teacher; we anticipate a two teacher model for the foreseeable future.

Juntura is a peaceful community of ~100 people.
Its a vibrant ranching community with lots of young families and community events. Its ~50 miles to the nearest grocery store and nearest town. The town consists of a restaurant, two churches, a post office and the school. While this isn’t for everyone - it is perfect for those looking to escape the chaos.

Juntura is a lush valley surrounded by rugged high desert country. It draws hunters and outdoor recreationalist and is known for its upland bird hunting. Beulah Reservoir is 15 miles away. The nearest towns are Vale to the east and Burns to the west. The closest airport is Boise, ID (130 miles away). Zoom in to see the school and zoom out to see its proximity (or lack thereof) to other towns.

~960 sq ft house surrounded by hay field and the neighboring teacher’s house. Walking distance of the school. Travel Reimbursement an option if person chooses to live elsewhere.
